The first electron neutrino appearance measurement made by the NOvA collaboration has been published. The analysis is based on the observation of 6 events detected in the NOvA far detector given an exposure of 2.74E20 protons on target. The analysis disfavors 0.1pi < delta_CP < 0.5pi in the inverted mass hierarchy at a 90% C.L. The reference for the paper is Phys. Rev. Lett. 116 151806 (2016).
