LBNE transitions to ELBNF

In late January the collaboration formerly as LBNE (Long Baseline Neutrino ExperiFNAL_nightment)  was dissolved and reformed as ELBNF (Experiment at the Long-Baseline Neutrino Factory). While the name of the new collaboration is no more creative than the former, a new naming competition is under way. The new collaboration is comprised of 146 institutions from 23 countries corresponding to more than 500 members.

The move to the new collaboration was fueled by the report coming from the P5 (Particle Physics Project Prioritization Panel) that placed the US-based long baseline experiment as a high priority, just behind the LHC, and that a new internationalized collaboration should be formed to realize the experiment. With the new collaboration formed, new leadership and organization will be put in place over the next few months.
