This resulted in the T2K collaboration receiving the Fundamental Physics Prize in October 2015. More recently the T2K has measured anti-muon neutrino disappearance oscillations and anti-muon neutrino appearance oscillations into anti-electron neutrinos where it observed 4 event candidates. As of Summer 2016, the low statistics evidence combining the neutrino and the antineutrino appearance oscillation results indicate a deviation from Charge-Parity conservation in neutrino interactions where T2K finds an excess of neutrino oscillation events and a deficit of antineutrino oscillation events.

See the recent news items in NATURE , The International Business Times and in Science Daily.

The Tokai to Kamioka Experiment (T2K) is based in Japan with collaborators in the U.S., Canada, France, Spain, Italy, Poland, Germany and the United Kingdom.
